Frequently Asked Questions

How are implant prices, Is the examination free, What is the price of teeth whitening? All your questions are answered at Vien Denta.

1. How long does the first examination take and is there a fee?

Your initial consultation typically takes 15-30 minutes. During this time, our dentist will assess your overall oral and dental health and may request X-rays if necessary. You can contact our consultants for more information about consultation fees and treatment planning.

2.Can I start my treatment on the same day?

This depends on the urgency and type of your treatment. Simple procedures (e.g., fillings, minor procedures) can be scheduled the same day, while more extensive treatments (e.g., root canal treatment, implants) may require detailed planning and a separate appointment.

3.What should I do if I want to cancel or change my appointment?

We kindly ask that you notify our center at least 24 hours before your appointment by phone or via the contact form on our website. This will help reduce waiting times for other patients.

4.Does your center provide Pediatric Dentistry (Pedodontics) services?

Yes, at Vien Denta, we prioritize the oral and dental health of our children. Our pediatric dentists provide a positive, playful, and fear-reducing treatment experience for children.

5. What methods do you have for patients with fear of the dentist?

Our patients' comfort is our top priority. For those who require it, we offer treatment options under sedation (conscious sleep) or general anesthesia, accompanied by our expert anesthesiologist. These methods allow for painless and stress-free treatment.

General Oral and Dental Health

6. How often should dental tartar cleaning (scaling) be done?

Generally, we recommend scaling at least once or twice a year. However, this interval should be determined by your dentist based on your personal oral hygiene habits and the state of your gum health.

7. Will teeth whitening damage my teeth?

Professional teeth whitening (performed in a clinic under the supervision of a dentist) does not damage tooth structure or enamel. Temporary sensitivity may occur after the procedure, but this quickly disappears.

8.Is it safe to have dental treatment during pregnancy?

Yes, routine checkups and urgent dental treatments can be safely performed during pregnancy (especially during the second trimester). Unnecessary X-rays and elective (non-urgent) cosmetic procedures are generally postponed. Be sure to inform your doctor that you are pregnant.

9. What solution do you offer for bruxism (teeth grinding) at night?

Bruxism treatment typically involves the use of custom-made, transparent appliances called night guards. In more advanced cases, muscle relaxants (Botox) may be helpful.

Advanced Treatments and Aesthetics

10.How long do dental implants last?

With proper oral hygiene and regular dental checkups, dental implants are designed to last a lifetime. The success of an implant depends on its integration into the bone and patient care.

11.In what cases is porcelain laminate (leaf porcelain) application performed and how long does it take?

Veneers are ideal for correcting tooth discoloration, mild crowding, diastema, and deformities. Treatment is usually completed in 2 to 4 sessions (approximately 1 week).

12.Is there an age limit for orthodontic treatment (braces or clear plates)?

There's no age limit for orthodontic treatment. While jaw development can be guided in children, teeth can also be straightened in adults. Today, thanks to clear aligners (such as Invisalign), treatment can be performed without aesthetic concerns.

Center-Specific Questions

13.What technologies are used at Vien Denta?

In our clinic, we use state-of-the-art devices (e.g. Digital Impression Scanners, 3D Dental Tomography (CBCT), Laser-Assisted Treatment Devices) that accelerate the treatment process and increase patient comfort.

14.Do you have an agreement with private health insurance companies?

You can get the most up-to-date and detailed information about the private health insurance companies we have agreements with from our appointment consultants. It's important to check your insurance coverage before starting your treatment.

15. Who should I contact if I experience any problems after treatment?

If you experience any pain, swelling, or any unexpected issues after your treatment, you can contact your physician directly by calling our office during business hours. In emergency cases, we will provide the necessary guidance.

16. What exactly is smile design and how do we know if it is right for me?

Smile design is the creation of an ideal smile using artistic and scientific dentistry methods (such as laminates, zirconium, gum restoration, etc.) that take into account a person's facial features, lip structure, and aesthetic expectations. Thanks to digital measurements and simulations, you can see the results before treatment begins.

17.What is the main difference between zirconium crowns and metal-supported porcelain crowns?

Because zirconium crowns contain no metal, they are highly translucent, providing an aesthetically pleasing appearance very similar to natural teeth. Metal-supported crowns, however, may be more cost-effective but are not as aesthetically pleasing as zirconium.

18.What problems does "Pink Aesthetics" (gum aesthetics) solve?

Pink aesthetics corrects problems such as uneven gum level, excessive gum visibility ("gummy smile") or receding gums using laser or surgical methods, making the teeth appear more aesthetically pleasing and symmetrical.

19.What are the advantages of clear aligner treatments like Invisalign over traditional braces?

Clear aligners (Invisalign) straighten your teeth without any aesthetic concerns. Because the aligners are removable, maintaining hygiene while eating and brushing your teeth is much easier. They also generally offer a more comfortable treatment process than traditional braces.

Implants and Surgical Procedures

20.Is the implant placement process painful?

No. Implant surgeries are performed under local anesthesia, and you won't feel any pain during the procedure. You may experience some mild discomfort after the procedure, but this is usually easily controlled with prescribed painkillers.

21.How long is the recovery period after implantation?

It typically takes two to four months for the implant to fully fuse with the jawbone (osseointegration). After this process, the permanent prosthesis is placed over the implant. Swelling and tenderness are normal for the first few days.

22.Can implants be placed in patients with osteoporosis (bone insufficiency)?

In most cases, yes. In patients with insufficient bone, advanced surgical techniques such as bone grafting or sinus lifts are used to create a suitable foundation for the implant before placement.

23.Is it always necessary to remove wisdom teeth?

Extraction is recommended when wisdom teeth are unable to find space to erupt (emerge), are pressing on other teeth, or are causing pain or infection. Teeth that are completely impacted and remain in good position are generally monitored.

Hygiene, Care and Emergencies

24.What is the correct tooth brushing technique?

The most effective method is to hold the brush at a 45-degree angle to the gum line and sweep from the gum toward the tooth. It's important to brush and floss for two minutes at least twice a day.

25.Should I use dental floss or an interdental brush?

If the spaces between your teeth are normal, flossing is sufficient. However, if you have bridges, implants, or wide gaps, interdental brushes recommended by your dentist will provide more effective cleaning.

26.Does your center provide emergency dentistry services?

We prioritize appointment scheduling for emergencies (severe pain, trauma, fracture fillings/dentures) that occur during our business hours. For emergencies outside of our office hours, please contact us by phone.

Technology and Clinic-Specific Topics

27. What is the advantage of the digital impression scanners used in your clinic compared to traditional impressions?

Digital scanners (3D scanning) eliminate the use of paste-like materials that can cause nausea in the mouth. They enable faster, more precise, and more comfortable impressions, minimizing treatment time and margin of error.

28.When can I learn about my treatment plan and cost in detail?

After your initial examination and x-rays (CT scans if necessary), your detailed treatment plan prepared by your physician and all associated cost options will be presented to you in a transparent manner.

29. How are all the tools and environment used sterilized?

At Vien Denta, we use the highest-level autoclave (steam sterilization) equipment, meeting international standards. Our treatment units and all equipment undergo a thorough disinfection and sterilization process after each patient.

30.Do I need to replace my old fillings (amalgam) with aesthetic fillings?

While amalgam fillings are durable and reliable, they can be aesthetically problematic. It's also recommended that old amalgam fillings that are leaking or cracked be replaced with composite (tooth-colored) fillings to preserve the tooth structure and improve aesthetics.
